Peter Yealand is the first winery in the world to be certified carboNZeroCertTM since inception and they are always looking for new ways to be more sustainable and self-sufficient. Their focus on renewable energy has led to the installation of one of the largest solar panel arrays in New Zealand on their winery roof. They also use wind turbines to convert the strong coastal winds into energy and are the only winery in New Zealand to bale and burn their vine pruning in specially-built burners, eliminating over 180 tonnes of greenhouse gasses every year. Their constant commitment to reducing carbon emission has also seen them introduce miniature Babydoll sheep and Kunekune pigs to their vineyard. These tiny little helpers keep the vine rows tidy, produce a healthy dose of natural fertilizer and significantly reduce their need for mowing with tractors.

Shows lifted notes of blackcurrant leaf and passionfruit, underpinned with aromas of fresh herbs and lemon zest.

Offers red cherry aromas with a hint of savoury spice. The juicy ripe fruit flavours lead into a supple, soft tannin finish.
