ORIGIN AND CHARACTERISTICS OF IBERICO PIG
The Iberico pig is a traditional breed of the domestic pig that is native to the Iberian Peninsula. The Iberico pig, whose origins can probably be traced back to the Neolithic, when animal domestication started, is currently found in herds clustered in the central and southern part of Portugal and Spain.
Iberico pig has hair color black, well-developed musculature on the back, front and hind legs, Elongated snout, capacity to infiltrate the fat in their muscles, making the taste and texture of meat very appreciated. Average size and weight that can range between 100 and 150 kg for females, and 150 to 200 kg for males.
Iberico pigs are raised in certified and totally controlled farms, located in natural grounds where environment and animal welfare is fully respected. The producer fully control all the processes from the breeding to the feeding, and finally to the cut of the meat.

Iberico pig is fed with their own feed which is based on cereals and Olive Pulp to achieve a result in Oleic Acid of 52% which allows the final taste and quality of the meat is rich in flavor, marbled, clean, nutritious and delicious.
