In 1907, Jean Hénaff, then an ordinary Breton farmer, designed and built a canning factory for the local canning of peas and French beans.
Seven years later, to make up for the lack of business in the offseason, he started producing pâté and this was when the farmer and manufacturer of tinned foods made a surprising discovery. By combining higher-grade pig meat (hams and fillets) with a clever mix of spices, he created a new tasty recipe.
Hénaff is now the leader of tinned Pâtés in France through a unique and distinctive quality policy. Henaff is a favorite product in more than 50 countries around the world.
In December 2013, the company formalizes its partnership with chef Alain Ducasse and CNES, as part of the Special Event Meals program, which provides astronauts of the International Space Station with high-end dishes for special occasions.
